Event Log
Most painful: the first time a stranger asks, “how many kids do you have?” and you freeze, unable to answer.
Most gratifying: the number of folks who point out something about their life today that is different because of Drew – an attitude, a plan, a confidence, a memory.
Most touching: Brook’s stuffed bunny. Drew gave it to a her, a fellow patient at Easter in CMC, suggesting she hug it when she needed to, and take out her anger on it when she needed to. She’s back in the hospital again, and the bunny is almost worn out. But the bunny is still wearing a TeamLlewellyn bracelet.
Most heartwarming: as we were finishing up thank-you notes, we realized we had not heard from the Bone Marrow Clinic, which we suggested as a place for donations. We had heard from other local and national cancer society gifts in Drew’s name, plus other events like marathons and walks, but nothing from Duke. Melissa called, and they apologized for being behind in mailings. Melissa asked if they had any donations in Drew’s name. The person paused and said, “that’s why we are so hopelessly behind – we have never gotten so many donations for one person. He must’ve been special.”
Yep.

That is sure gonna be some tally - can not wait for the final result!
I'm hoping we haven't heard the last from the family and that you are coping better each day with this whole ordeal. It's gonna be rough for a while. Keep your chin up......
He IS special- and oh so fortunate to have so many people who loved him unconditionally!!
Yep....your entire family is special. You give everything you have to everything you do. One day at a time.
Love and prayers continue to be with you all.

Just checking to see if all is going well with the family.
Just take one day at a time....I'm sure you've been hearing that alot.
