Sherpa of the Week

Sherpas are the Mt. Everest climber's best friend. They are experienced with the mountain, acclimated to the altitude, and willing to do the heavy lifting for the "paying customers" who get all the glory when they reach the summit and return. It is hard work.

Drew's girlfriend Jordan is our Sherpa of the Week. During some tough days she has stuck with Drew, both emotionally and physically. While most college kids are getting their tans, hanging out, or traveling, she has stayed in our small hospital room and been great for Drew's spirits, especially in the toughest of days. And while he continues to be an impressive patient, the realities of pain and procedures and medical mayhem do not make for a "fun date". Jordan cheers up the whole team when she is here.
